Privacy
Cepello is a mobile application that displays areas in Switzerland that may be favourable to certain mushrooms, based on public data (terrain, forests, geology, soil and weather). This page describes which data the application processes and how.
1. Principle: your data stays on your device
Cepello works without a user account and without Bluehood Games servers. Maps and area data are embedded in the application. Your foraging journal (locations, photos and notes) is stored only on your phone and is never transmitted to Bluehood Games. You can export or delete it at any time from the application settings. Uninstalling the application deletes this data.
2. Location
The application requests access to the device's location only to centre the map on you and, if you ask it to, to record the location of a find in your journal. The location is not collected by or sent to Bluehood Games. The approximate coordinates of the centre of the map are transmitted to the weather service (see section 3) to obtain local forecasts.
3. Weather (Open-Meteo)
To calculate the growth index, the application queries the Open-Meteo service using the approximate (rounded) coordinates of the displayed area. No personal data or identifier is transmitted. See Open-Meteo's privacy policy.
4. In-app purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are managed by your device's store: Google Play on Android and Apple's App Store on iOS. Bluehood Games receives neither your payment data nor your identity; the app checks purchase status locally with the store. See the privacy policies of Google and Apple.
5. Feedback and bug reports
If you use the “Feedback / report a bug” function, the message you write is sent to the Bluehood Games team together with your device model, Android version, application version, language and subscription status. A contact address is transmitted only if you enter it voluntarily. This information is used solely to process your feedback and is retained for no more than 12 months.
6. Website Android and iOS waitlists
When you submit your email address on cepello.com, it is sent through Discord to a private team channel together with the selected platform, form language and signup time. It is used only to notify you when the Android or iOS app becomes available, according to the waitlist you selected. It will be deleted no later than 12 months after that notification. You may request deletion at any time.
7. Meta SDK and campaign measurement
Cepello integrates the Meta SDK to measure application installations and the effectiveness of advertising campaigns run on Facebook or Instagram. Depending on the operating system, device settings and permissions granted, the SDK may send Meta installation, launch and usage events configured by Bluehood Games, along with technical data such as device model, operating system, app version and language, IP address and, when available, the advertising identifier.
On iOS, the system also asks for your permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). Without it, the advertising identifier is never accessed, regardless of the choice you make in the app.
These data are used for campaign attribution and measurement. They are not used to display advertising inside Cepello. Bluehood Games does not configure the SDK to transmit your foraging journal, precise coordinates, photos, notes or an email address submitted on the website. Meta processes received data under its own policy: Meta Privacy Policy.
8. What we do not do
- No user account and no advertising displayed inside the application.
- No transmission to Meta of the foraging journal, precise coordinates, photos, notes or waitlist emails.
- No sale of personal data. External services used are described in this policy.
9. Permissions requested
- Location: centre the map, record the location of a find (optional).
- Camera / photos: add a photo to a find (optional).
- Internet: OpenStreetMap base map, weather, purchases through the device's store, sending feedback and campaign measurement through the Meta SDK.
- Advertising tracking (iOS): only for the measurement described in section 7, and only if you accept it.
10. Children
Cepello is intended for an adult audience and does not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Your rights and contact
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification or deletion of your personal data, including an address submitted to the waitlist. Contact: info(at)cepello.com.

This policy may be updated; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
