Privacy
Cepello is a mobile application that displays areas in Switzerland that may be favourable to certain mushrooms, based on public data (terrain, forests, geology, soil and weather). This page describes which data the application processes and how.
1. Principle: your data stays on your device
Cepello works without a user account and without Bluehood Games servers. Maps and area data are embedded in the application. Your foraging journal (locations, photos and notes) is stored only on your phone and is never transmitted to Bluehood Games. You can export or delete it at any time from the application settings. Uninstalling the application deletes this data.
2. Location
The application requests access to the device's location only to centre the map on you and, if you ask it to, to record the location of a find in your journal. The location is not collected by or sent to Bluehood Games. The approximate coordinates of the centre of the map are transmitted to the weather service (see section 3) to obtain local forecasts.
3. Weather (Open-Meteo)
To calculate the growth index, the application queries the Open-Meteo service using the approximate (rounded) coordinates of the displayed area. No personal data or identifier is transmitted. See Open-Meteo's privacy policy.
4. In-app purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are managed by Google Play. Bluehood Games receives neither your payment data nor your identity; the application checks the purchase status locally with Google Play. See Google's privacy policy.
5. Feedback and bug reports
If you use the “Feedback / report a bug” function, the message you write is sent to the Bluehood Games team together with your device model, Android version, application version, language and subscription status. A contact address is transmitted only if you enter it voluntarily. This information is used solely to process your feedback and is retained for no more than 12 months.
6. What we do not do
- No account, no advertising tracking and no advertising.
- No audience analytics tools or third-party trackers.
- No sale or sharing of data with third parties.
7. Android permissions
- Location: centre the map, record the location of a find (optional).
- Camera / photos: add a photo to a find (optional).
- Internet: OpenStreetMap base map, weather, Google Play purchases and sending feedback.
8. Children
Cepello is intended for an adult audience and does not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Your rights and contact
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification or deletion of your personal data (in practice: feedback messages only). Contact: info(at)cepello.com.

This policy may be updated; the date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
